Responsibilities
Answer underwriting calls
Documents and communicates underwriting guidelines, philosophies, and decisions across segments
Handles risk selection decisions in a quality, timely and productive manner
Underwrites new business, renewals, and endorsements in accordance with company guidelines, authority levels and procedures
Aids agents and customers on underwriting issues
Coaches agents on systems, products, and appetite
Supports agents and sales to achieve financial objectives for loss ratio, retention, and new business
Develops and maintains relationships with independent agents and employees across all departments
Qualification
Required
2 or more years of experience required for external candidates
Preferred
Strongly prefer candidates who reside in the pacific time zone
