Responsibilities

Coordinates the building media/technology committee

Implements established media policies and standards, principles of Intellectual Freedom, Internet Acceptable use policies and copyright laws

Manages and insures accessibility to media resources, equipment, and facilities

Creates and fosters a climate that motivates effective utilization of media facilities, resources, and services

Collaborates with teachers and students concerning the school website and multimedia uses

Utilizes current research and methods in the areas of technology and library and information sources

Prepares and oversees the library media program budget

Maintains and enhances professional knowledge in technology and trends in information literacy

The employee shall carry out such other and further duties, whether specifically listed above or not, as are assigned or required by such employee’s supervisor, other appropriate school personnel, law board policy administrative regulation, department handbook, as are reasonably necessary to the efficient operation of the school system and its mission
