Solid Oxide Cell Stack Design Graduate Assistant - Spring 2026 - ATAS
The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is a nonprofit, applied research division of the Georgia Institute of Technology. They are seeking a Graduate Assistant to assist with alternative stack designs for high temperature solid oxide cells, focusing on simulations and pilot experiments to enhance efficiency in power/energy modules.

Responsibilities
Assist with alternative stack designs to enhance the effectiveness of power/energy modules
Lead the overall investigation with emphasis upon simulations to further specify the nature of design/operational changes and quantify the benefits to efficiency
Conduct planned pilot experiments
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Georgia Tech Master's or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering
Must be registered for at least 3+ credit hours with your university
3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
Preferred
Experience in 1 or more programming languages
Interest/affinity for thermal systems design
Task / team leadership experience
Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts
Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas
