Responsibilities
Assist or take lead on internal projects
Working with Private Market team in all parts of the business to analyze, review, identify, document business improvement opportunities and strategies including process design as required, and in some cases develop the solution
Ability to drive cross functional projects to deliver improvement in efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction
Identify, understand and manage inter project dependencies, risks and issues
Understand and adapt to changing roles within the business and industry
Demonstrate an ability to deliver process changes across jurisdictions / locations
Act as a source of structured change management and process improvement expertise
Provide business partners and business leadership with independent consultation and support in the delivery of business change opportunities and recommendations
Qualification
Required
High learning agility
Bachelor's degree with course work in business/mathematics or related experience preferred
Basic understanding of financial/investment concepts
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in a development environment and with the development cycle
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and within a team on a variety of projects, receive instructions from several people and meet project deadlines
Excellent planning, organizational and communication skills
Experience with databases, data management
Experience in gathering, cleaning and analyzing large sets of data
Understanding of gathering business requirements
Spreadsheet skills - comfortable with complex functionality such as array calculations, pivot tables macros
2+ years of experience in database management systems such as SQL, Oracle, or other RDMS
2+ years of experience working in the investment management industry or large consulting firm
Experience with analytics/statistical software language such as R, Python, or others
Excellent listening, negotiation and influencing skills with an ability to work with Partners at all levels within the organization
Preferred
Experience with Bloomberg, FIS Investran a plus
Six Sigma trained or certified is preferred but not required
