Student Research Assistant (WS)
University of Utah Health Research is seeking a Student Research Assistant to support research activities in the Clinical Voice Studies Laboratory. The role involves conducting screening assessments, coordinating research activities, and assisting in data collection while ensuring compliance with confidentiality rules.

Responsibilities
Conduct Screening Assessments with patients to determine eligibility status for research studies. (Training provided)
Coordinate research activities including creating and maintaining databases. (Training provided)
Attend laboratory meetings and report to the group on progress of assigned duties
Assist other laboratory staff in collecting biomechanics and neurophysiological data (Training provided)
Handle sensitive data in a professional manner that complies with all confidentiality rules and regulations
Communicate clearly and effectively (both verbally and in writing) with colleagues, other members of the research team, and Principal Investigator
Must be able to work independently while exhibiting a level of judgment that ensures participant safety and adherence to study protocols and procedures
Flexibility in scheduling work hours around course schedule, as rates of recruitment span and fluctuate across the calendar year
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a graduate degree in the College of Health or health related fields
Must fulfill all associated requirements for patient-sensitive positions, including immunization according to CDC standards and hospital policy
Must have been awarded a Federal Work-Study Award for the current year
Must be able to work independently while exhibiting a level of judgment that ensures participant safety and adherence to study protocols and procedures
