Postdoc Research Associate
Baylor University is seeking a Postdoc Research Associate for their Nano-Optics and Advanced Health-Sensing Lab. The role focuses on the design and characterization of photonic integrated circuits for optical interconnects and computing, along with mentoring and collaboration responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Designing hybrid silicon-conductive oxide photonic circuits using commercial foundry or industrial sponsored photonic shuttle to achieve low-power, high speed optical systems
Lead the characterization of PICs, especially high-speed optoelectronic measurement using microwave network analyzer and digital communication analyzer
Mentoring PhD students and collaborating with academic and industrial partners
Participate in the preparation and writing of journal manuscripts and conference papers, presentations, and/or posters
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a closely related field. Candidates without related experience will NOT be considered
Strong background in photonic integrated circuits and silicon photonics
