BFT Aspire - Assistant Manager Summer Explorations Teen Program
Mass General Brigham is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing patient care, research, teaching, and community service. The Assistant Manager for the Aspire program will manage group leaders and facilitate programming aimed at helping teens on the autism spectrum develop life skills through supported recreational and social activities.

Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing and supervising 4-6 group leaders and assistant group leaders
Responsibilities include facilitating the implementation of Aspire program curriculum; leading training of staff throughout the program, leading specific activity blocks (e.g., mind/body, social and self-awareness groups); collaborating with group leaders to develop interventions, supports and strategies for program participants; modifying curriculum as needed; maintaining communication with families and accurate record keeping; and supporting compliance of program policies and procedures
Under the guidance of the Explorations Program Manager, supervise group leaders (gl’s) and assistant group leaders (agl’s) and work with staff to promote participant skill development
Support staff to problem-solve, facilitate social interaction, manage behaviors, and communicate challenges
Provide guidance, resources and oversight to group leaders as they design clear and appropriate goals for each group member, assess progress, and design interventions to foster further growth
Implement curriculum and lead activity blocks specifically focused on: social competency, self-awareness and stress management
Work with group leaders to develop individualized plans to support program participants
Facilitate and lead required participant and family meetings, including orientation and parent conferences
Lead weekly supervision meetings with assigned staff, attend daily staff meetings and regular professional development, including 40 hours of pre-program training, and promote a collaborative and participant-focused culture amongst program staff
Maintain the rules of confidentiality and all HIPAA expectations, and promote the health and safety of program participants and staff at all times
Complete evaluation forms, incident reports, end-of-program reports, and other assigned paperwork in a timely manner
Maintain records and documentation outlined in the Policies and Procedures manual
Work collaboratively with area agencies to ensure Aspires ongoing positive relationships with community, including school personnel, MGH staff, transportation personnel, Department of Public Health, etc
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Master's Degree in a related field
Prior experience working with neurodivergent children and/or adolescents
Have current First Aid/CPR certification
