Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer

Responsibilities
Perform geotechnical engineering design and analysis of foundation systems, retaining structures and slopes for transportation and water infrastructure projects for both public and private clients
Participate in field assignments that will include observation of explorations (soil and rock borings, test pits, CPT soundings, geophysical testing); geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring; and inspection of the construction of geotechnical structures (earth retaining structures, deep foundations, dams, tunnels, and shallow foundations), as well as oversight of subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering or 0-2 years of experience
Flexibility to travel for office and field assignments
Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and geotechnical design software
Preferred
Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months
Previous internship in geotechnical evaluations soil and rock classification, design analysis of foundation and ground retention systems
Knowledge of and experience with LPile, Shaft, Slide, Bentley gINT, Bentley MicroStation, and AutoCAD
Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
