Paralegal

They are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys and Fortune 500 clients by performing substantive billable work, including legal research and document preparation.

Consulting

Responsibilities

Research law, investigate facts, and independently prepare documents to assist attorneys with matters brought in state and federal courts and with administrative agencies
Summarize complex legal documents
Maintain, organize and index complex case files
E-File pleadings with state and federal courts
Prepare correspondence
Draft a wide variety of legal documents, including notices, subpoenas, declarations, and form pleadings
Cite check briefs and prepare supporting exhibits
Assist with document collection, review, and production
Provide attorney support for hearing and deposition preparation
Prepare for mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Provide attorney support during trials and arbitrations
Communicate with witnesses and experts
Assist with scheduling and coordinate with docketing team
Record and enter billable time in a timely manner

Qualification

Required

Paralegal certification from an accredited program or a Bachelor's degree
4+ years of paralegal experience
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational/time management, and analytical skills
Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw, Intapp, LiveNote, Casemap, TimeMap, TrialDirector, Relativity, iManage or other document management systems, expense and billing systems

Preferred

Experience in a labor/employment litigation practice
