Responsibilities
Support the product lifecycle by participating in the selection, development, production ramp-up, and long-term sustainment of new products
Oversees project teams, aligning resources and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
Directs product design, new product development and tooling design activities
Assesses adequacy of product design, supporting data and regulatory approval packages
Organizing & supervising teams that use data to develop and improve manufacturing processes and engineering procedures
Serve as the key technical liaison, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities
Collaborates and coordinates across organizational boundaries on reverse engineering, manufacturing/repair capabilities and production methods
Assists in the location and selection of manufacturing sources (suppliers)
Motivates teams and holds them accountable for delivering excellent results
Manages Engineering department including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Qualification
Required
Experience in leading and managing engineering processes and teams
Ability to grow revenue through new products
Ability to ensure all products exceed customer expectations
Experience in improving producibility, performance, and reliability of products
Experience in identifying, implementing, and improving supporting technologies
Knowledge of regulatory compliance
Experience in supporting the product lifecycle from selection to long-term sustainment
Ability to oversee project teams and align resources and schedules
Experience in directing product design, new product development, and tooling design activities
Ability to assess adequacy of product design and regulatory approval packages
Experience in organizing and supervising teams using data to improve processes
Ability to serve as a key technical liaison across customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities
Experience in collaborating across organizational boundaries on manufacturing capabilities
