Responsibilities

Manage a team of software engineers, driving their technical development, career growth, and enhancing the collective engineering knowledge base across the team

Define the technical strategy and architecture for scalability and robustness to support a billion plus user base, primarily using Kotlin on the Android platform

Ensure reliability and performance (latency and quality) for core messaging functionality, including RCS, SMS, and MMS stacks, utilizing data-driven methods to address transport reliability issues

Provide technical leadership by contributing to design documents, projects, and leading code and design reviews to steer the team's direction and maintain high quality standards

Serve as a key cross-functional collaborator, partnering with multiple internal teams (e.g., Android platform) and external entities, including carriers and manufacturers, to integrate and advance core messaging technologies

Required

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience

8 years of experience in software development

3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects

Experience with mobile application development or Android framework development

Experience in programming with Kotlin
