Finubit is building a modern banking platform that empowers financial institutions. The Data Engineer (BI) will define the architecture for Finubit's data model and analytics layer, lead complex modeling initiatives, and mentor team members while driving the strategic direction of the analytics infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Architect data models and schemas that support business intelligence at scale
Lead design and implementation of complex analytical data structures
Define standards and best practices for data modeling across the organization
Drive performance optimization for analytical queries and reporting workloads
Lead adoption of LLM-powered development across the team, mentor engineers on effective usage, and develop enabling infrastructure
Mentor engineers and conduct technical reviews
Partner with leadership to translate business strategy into data architecture
Establish data quality and governance frameworks
Lead incident response and drive reliability improvements for BI systems
Evaluate and introduce new technologies and patterns

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Sciences, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in data engineering with focus on analytics/BI
Expert SQL skills with deep PostgreSQL expertise
Strong Python skills: advanced data manipulation, automation, testing
Track record of designing and implementing data models at scale
Demonstrated success integrating LLM-powered tools into data engineering workflows
Performance optimization leadership
Experience establishing data quality and governance practices
Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture
Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives

Preferred

Experience architecting analytics platforms from scratch
Deep expertise in PostgreSQL internals and optimization
Track record of establishing data modeling standards across teams
Experience in fintech with understanding of compliance requirements
Contributions to analytics engineering community
