Responsibilities

Support U.S. power trading; forecast congestion/pricing in transitioning grids
Run, calibrate, and improve power flow models
Model supply/demand/pricing/congestion for daily trading + long-term opportunities
Apply econ/stats/ML to find commercial signals
Build expertise in one or more ISO's (CAISO, ERCOT, SPP, MISO, PJM, NYISO)
Track policy, renewables, transmission, electrification, DR; assess commercial impact
Collaborate with team while advancing independent analytics and research

Qualification

Power market experiencePython/SQL/R proficiencyOPF tools proficiencyElectrical Engineering degreeEnergy Economics degree

Required

BA/BS + 2 yrs power market experience, or advanced degree in Electrical Engineer, Computer Science, or Energy Economics
Python/SQL/R proficiency

Preferred

OPF tools (PowerWorld, MAPS, DAYZER, Promod, Aurora, Gridview) a plus
