Responsibilities

Directs activities and manages experienced Quality Inspection professionals in the execution of inspection tasks to ensure adherence to established department, organization and customer specification parameters
Responsible for the execution of inspection plans and manages inspector workloads to ensure effective use of resources
Manages the maintenance of inspection logs and the preparation of inspection reports, technical reports and presentations to document results so that performance problems can be identified and resolved
Ensures appropriate methods, equipment, and processes are utilized to effectively perform inspections
Delivers feedback on quality issues from inspection fields and monitors corrective action and results to ensure continuous improvement and quality achievement
Coaches inspection specialists and technicians to ensure that the skills and performance of employees meet the organization's needs
Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect arriving, in-process and completed products for conformance to engineering requirements
Manage and oversee the full scope of the inspection operation

Required

2 years of relevant experience in quality
Experience in AS9100 standards
Manage the maintenance of equipment including calibration, inspection, cleaning, repairing, Software/Hardware updates, vendor engagement etc
Identify and recommend creative ways to enhance existing test practice
Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
To meet government and federal law program requirements which requires U.S. citizen status
Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments

Preferred

Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
Prior Supervisory experience preferred
QMS-Audit (AS9100) experience preferred
Customer facing experience preferred
Ability to generate quality metrics and reports
