Responsibilities
Provide hands-on supervision of construction activities across various projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards
Conduct daily inspections and safety observations while documenting milestones and generating reports
Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and engineering teams to facilitate successful project execution
Maintain effective communication with onsite teams and ensure adherence to safety protocols
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and other software for reporting, budgeting, and presentations
Qualification
Required
Detailed knowledge of civil transmission line construction practices, particularly in the areas of soil preparation, reinforcing steel placement, formwork, and structural concrete
A strong civil construction background is required
Able to inspect all aspects of civil transmission construction, including excavation, backfill, compaction, foundation preparation, rebar installation, concrete formwork, and placement of structural concrete
Responsible for verifying that all work performed by the prime construction contractor complies with the client's construction standards, approved engineering drawings, and project specifications
Ability to read and interpret civil and structural plans, construction drawings, rebar placement diagrams, concrete mix designs, and applicable specifications and standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and communicate findings effectively to project stakeholders
10+ years of experience in civil construction, preferably within the transmission, utility, or infrastructure sectors, with a strong emphasis on foundations, earthwork, and structural concrete
Strong management, coordination, and communication abilities; proven experience in field construction oversight
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with construction management software for documentation and reporting is required
