Lead Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear Energy
CT19 is an innovative company advancing the commercialization of next-generation nuclear reactors, and they are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to support the design and integration of critical reactor components. The role involves collaboration with a cross-disciplinary team to develop mechanical systems in a regulated environment, focusing on system modeling, thermal-hydraulic analysis, and material selection.
Responsibilities
Support the design, analysis, and integration of critical reactor components and systems
Collaborate closely with a cross-disciplinary engineering team to develop mechanical systems including structural supports, heat exchangers, piping, and pressure vessels
Span system modeling, thermal-hydraulic analysis, material selection, and support for prototyping, testing, and commissioning activities
Qualification
Required
Degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering
8–10+ years of experience in mechanical system design
Experience preferably within nuclear, energy, or aerospace sectors
Strong skills in CAD
Strong skills in FEA
Strong skills in thermal-fluid analysis tools
Solid understanding of ASME codes
Solid understanding of regulatory standards
Solid understanding of materials performance in high-temperature and high-pressure environments
Preferred
PE license or progress toward one
