Fleet Analyst needed in the Great State of Ohio
Contract Lumber, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Analyst to enhance their fleet management operations. The role involves analyzing data across various systems to improve utilization and reduce costs while collaborating with multiple departments to optimize fleet performance.

Responsibilities
Fleet Analytics & Reporting • Fleet utilization rate
Asset availability and downtime
Utilization & Efficiency Optimization • Cost per mile / cost per hour
Fuel efficiency and idle percentage
Maintenance & Cost Analysis • Preventive vs. reactive maintenance ratio
Identify high-cost assets and recurring failure trends
Lifecycle & Capital Planning Support • Total cost of ownership (TCO)
Repair vs. replace decision accuracy
Process & System Improvement • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes, and system usage
Partner with fleet and operations teams to improve adoption of fleet tools
Tools & Systems • Fleet management systems (e.g., Samsara, Geotab, Verizon Connect, Fleetio, or similar)
Maintenance and work order systems
Fuel card and fuel management data
BI & reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, Analytics, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in fleet analysis, operations analysis, or data analysis
Advanced Excel skills; experience with dashboards and reporting tools
Data-driven decision making
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, and Finance
Preferred
Experience supporting large fleets (500+ assets; 1,000+ preferred)
Experience with heavy equipment, trucks, or mixed fleets
Familiarity with telematics and maintenance systems
Experience supporting lifecycle or capital planning decisions
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities
