As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be a key financial partner, focusing on preparing complex returns, delivering proactive tax planning, and managing the core bookkeeping for small business clients within a collaborative and education-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Tax Preparation & Filing: Prepare complex corporate, S-Corp, partnership, estate, and trust tax returns, as well as individual tax returns
Client Advisory: Build and maintain strong relationships with a list of business clients, and discuss and finalize tax returns directly with individuals
Tax Planning: Provide valuable tax planning advice and actively assist clients with implementing tax-saving strategies
Research & Support: Perform necessary tax research to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for clients
Bookkeeping & Maintenance: Maintain books and records for small business clients, including reconciling bank statements, credit cards, and loan statements, and performing year-end book closings

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
6+ years of tax preparation experience
Must hold either an Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
Experience working with small business clients is required
Proficient with QuickBooks and experience working with Lacerte or similar professional tax software
Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication
