Looking for an experienced manufacturing technician to join the precision structures fabrication team
Seeking candidate with composite material background and the ability to work within tight tolerance specifications
The scope is focused on the timely execution of assigned tasks with a quality mindset
Will work as individual contributor and in a team environment, fabricating, building, handling, repairing, and integrating complex, one of a kind composite parts/assemblies in a low volume setting
This role involves working directly with engineers on the design, development, and fabrication of new and existing products
Working in a team environment with crew chief to build composite components to make the structures
Some assemblies of structures
Working with some alcohol to clean things and then adhesives
Any use with overhead cranes will be with a mentor, if they go further will get them certified with the cranes and rigings
Knowledge of measuring equipment (verniers, calipers, scales, etc.)
Experience with cutting equipment (scissors/exacta blades etc.)
Read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions
Work with a variety of hand tools and specialized equipment
Requires computer efficiency (MS Office/Word/Excel)
Have experience with Working with very fragile and precise assemblies
Qualification
Required
Experienced manufacturing technician
Composite material background
Ability to work within tight tolerance specifications
Timely execution of assigned tasks with a quality mindset
Individual contributor and team environment experience
Fabricating, building, handling, repairing, and integrating complex composite parts/assemblies in a low volume setting
Working directly with engineers on design, development, and fabrication of new and existing products
Knowledge of measuring equipment (verniers, calipers, scales, etc.)
Experience with cutting equipment (scissors/exacta blades etc.)

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or experience in manufacturing and/or prototyping environment
Preferred
Aerospace or Defense industry experience
Experience with Laser Tracker or CMM measurement tools
Experience with shop equipment including but not limited to Mills, Lathes, Grinders, and red precision measuring equipment
MIG/ TIG welding experience
Lean Manufacturing practices
