The role involves managing shift scheduling and collaborating with the Nursing Management Team to maintain staffing levels based on various factors.

Responsibilities
The Staffing Coordinator manages the shift master scheduling software system, adjusting appropriately the staffing levels based on census fluctuations, call-ins and pre-planned leaves of absences to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
This position is a key contributor and a member of the Nursing Management Team and reports directly to the Director of Nursing
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED required
Preferably a minimum of two (2) years' experience in hospital with staffing/scheduling responsibilities for all shifts for clinical and nursing personnel
Will consider business office and/or human resources experience, preferably in a health care setting
Any combination of education, training or experience in a hospital business office
Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state
Successful completion of CPR, Handle with Care, and Verbal De-escalation training
May be required to work overtime and flexible hours
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred
