Responsibilities

Draft and organize estate planning documents—wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives

Assist with estate and trust administration, prepare probate pleadings, and handle court filings while keeping everything on schedule

Compile financial data for estate, gift, and fiduciary tax returns (Forms 706, 709, and 1041)

Track timelines and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements

Review statutes, IRS regulations, and local court rules to support attorneys and clients

Coordinate with accountants, financial advisors, and other experts to gather essential documentation

Maintain detailed client files, schedule meetings, and assist with correspondence

Draft letters, summaries, and reports that keep clients informed every step of the way

Provide administrative assistance and contribute to special projects within the practice group

Required

Certificate, associate's, or bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field

Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information

Preferred

2+ years in probate, estate planning, or tax law preferred

Familiarity with probate procedures and federal/state tax filings is a plus
