Responsibilities

Represent clients in complex family law matters, including prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, divorce, custody, and support proceedings
Conduct investigations, discovery, negotiations, motion practice, and trials
Develop and execute strategic legal approaches to achieve optimal client outcomes
Serve as the primary client contact, providing clear guidance and consistent communication
Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, motions, and marital settlement agreements
Supervise and mentor associates and paralegals, supporting professional development
Utilize firm resources to ensure efficient and timely case management
Stay current on developments in family and matrimonial law and CLE requirements
Maintain accurate timekeeping and detailed case documentation

Required

Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing
Minimum of 5 years of family law experience, including at least 10 trials
Certified Divorce Specialist™ or willingness to obtain certification
Completion or willingness to complete mediation or Collaborative Divorce training
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and courtroom advocacy skills
Strong client relationship management and communication abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Westlaw/LexisNexis, and Google Workspace
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Exceptional communication and negotiation capabilities
Strong analytical judgment and courtroom presence
Advanced legal research and case management proficiency

Preferred

Familiarity with CLIO Grow, CLIO Manage, and family law software
