Senior Accountant
RIGID is seeking a Senior Accountant who will handle a wide variety of responsibilities including assisting in the preparation of financial statements and ensuring compliance with financial controls. The role involves interacting with the Accounting & Finance team and reporting directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Prepare supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements
Assist with external audit teams around compliance testing, quarterly reviews and annual audits
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Organize, analyze and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable to the management team
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and provide explanations
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
Respond to queries from other finance and company-wide managers regarding financial results, special reports, and related topics
Assist with the company's expense reporting activities, ensuring that all expenses are recorded accurately, receipts are verified, and any discrepancies are promptly addressed
Regularly review and reconcile company credit card accounts, ensuring all transactions align with company records and addressing any inconsistencies
Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary to support the accounting and financial reporting functions
Qualification
Required
Degree in accounting
5-6 years of public accounting
Strong understanding of GAAP
Excellent software skills (including Excel and PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Self-starter with the desire to create and grow the position
Detail-oriented and accurate
Comfortable in a dynamic environment that moves quickly
Preferred
CPA designation preferred, but not required
Previous experience in the construction industry preferred, but not required
