Responsibilities
Lead the design and planning of architectural projects from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with client needs, project goals, and regulatory requirements
Oversee the preparation of architectural designs, drawings, models, and specifications, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards
Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, budget, and functional requirements, and translate these into creative and feasible architectural solutions
Supervise and mentor junior architects, providing guidance on design, technical details, and project management
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and consultants to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into building designs
Review and approve design documents, ensuring they meet industry standards and codes, as well as local zoning regulations
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring the timely delivery of project milestones
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, provide technical advice, and ensure design integrity is maintained during the build phase
Provide technical leadership on complex design problems, offering innovative solutions while adhering to cost, time, and regulatory constraints
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, effectively communicating design concepts and project status
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, building materials, technologies, and sustainability practices to incorporate into design strategies
Contribute to business development efforts by preparing proposals, participating in client meetings, and supporting the acquisition of new projects
Ensure that all design work complies with safety standards and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Architecture from an accredited institution
Licensed Architect (RA, AIA, or equivalent professional certification required)
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
Proven ability to lead and manage complex architectural projects from concept to completion
Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite)
Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and industry regulations
Expertise in sustainable design practices and familiarity with green building certifications (e.g., LEED)
Experience with both commercial and residential projects is a plus
Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely project delivery
