Business Development Manager - Sports

Transfers in Sport is a global leader in sports hospitality seeking an experienced Business Development Lead to drive commercial growth across North America. The role focuses on building and converting a strong commercial pipeline while nurturing key relationships and securing high-value opportunities at major sporting events.

Responsibilities

Increase and convert an established North American commercial pipeline in line with long-term growth objectives
Nurture and develop existing relationships across a defined list of priority events, with the objective of securing opportunities to submit proposals for travel and or hospitality rights
Drive sustainable account growth through renewals, cross-sell opportunities such as Sodexo Live!, and expanded scope of existing partnerships
Build, manage, and convert a robust North American sales pipeline
Lead tailored proposals and bid submissions, producing compelling commercial materials that strengthen positioning and improve win rates
Manage and grow existing accounts, maximising retention, cross-sell, and organic revenue growth
Develop strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders from initial engagement through contract execution
Track market trends and competitive activity to inform commercial strategy
Represent the organisation at key sporting events and industry forums to strengthen brand presence and expand networks

Required

Strong, demonstrable experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or commercial growth
Comfortable operating at pace while managing complex, high-value opportunities
Commercially astute with solid financial awareness and negotiation capability
Excellent relationship builder, able to influence senior stakeholders across multiple organisations
Ready to step into a role with greater ownership, accountability, and upside

Preferred

Experience or networks within sports, hospitality, or live events are highly desirable
Tennis exposure is a plus but not essential

Benefits

Commission: Performance-based, non-contractual, and subject to change
Typical commission: 6 to 15 percent of operating profit value, tiered by contract length and contribution
Earning potential: Uncapped. High performers can realistically achieve $30,000 to $100,000 or more in additional annual commission
