Engineering Technician - Contractor - C
Cynet Systems is seeking an Engineering Technician to perform precision assembly work in a manufacturing and prototyping environment. The role involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings, maintaining accurate records, and working with fragile assemblies while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Perform work in a manufacturing and/or prototyping environment
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions
Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation
Handle very fragile and precise assemblies with care
Assist in identifying problems and propose solutions
Adhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices
Work with a variety of hand tools and specialized equipment
Proficient in using measuring tools such as verniers, calipers, and scales
Perform effectively both as an individual contributor and within a team environment
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a 2-year post-secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work overtime, weekends, shifts, and travel as required
Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods
Willingness to submit to a background investigation; government security clearance may be required
Minimum 6 years relevant experience with HS Diploma, or 2 years post-secondary with 2 years relevant experience
Proficient in reading engineering drawings and schematics
Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation
Work with fragile and precise assemblies
Use hand tools and specialized equipment effectively
Proficient with measuring tools (verniers, calipers, scales, etc.)
Punctual and reliable
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
Preferred
Experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or Optical disciplines
Aerospace or Defense industry experience
Experience with shop equipment including Mills, Lathes, Grinders, and precision measuring equipment
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing practices
