Responsibilities
Draft coverage opinions, RORs, disclaimers, and bad faith defenses for CGL, property, and construction policies
Defend construction defect/injury (NY Labor Law), premises liability, and general tort claims from inception through trial
Conduct site inspections, depositions, and expert coordination in complex litigation
Collaborate on multi-jurisdictional teams for subrogation and regulatory matters
Support partners in client reporting and strategic resolution decisions
Represent clients in federal/state courtrooms, including arguing motions, evidentiary hearings, and jury trials when cases proceed to verdict
Qualification
Required
3+ years insurance defense/coverage experience in construction, general/premises liability (carrier/insured-side preferred)
NY bar; proven track record in dismissals and resolutions
Excellent drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills
Collaborative mindset eager for autonomy, mentorship, and partnership trajectory
