Responsibilities

Support the sales team in driving revenue by qualifying sales opportunities and providing technical expertise
Address technical questions related to physical data center whitespace solutions, including hardware and software
Prepare and deliver solution-based product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations aligned with customer business requirements
Serve as the technical point of contact throughout the sales cycle, setting clear customer expectations
Engage with existing customers to identify new needs, troubleshoot issues, and advise on upcoming projects and initiatives
Own all technical aspects of the sales process related to customer requirements and technical validation of whitespace solutions
Provide pre-sales technical support for product and solution inquiries from customers and channel partners
Deliver in-person and remote training for partners on new and existing products
Perform customer-specific consultations and product demonstrations
Support and facilitate product evaluations and proof-of-concept engagements
Prepare and deliver solution-based technical presentations and trainings
Identify and discuss remote access opportunities, including KVM, console server, and hybrid access technologies
Provide best practices for product migrations, upgrades, and new deployments
Install and configure software solutions for evaluation and proof-of-concept scenarios
Develop white papers, business cases, and technical documentation to support sales efforts
Act as a liaison between sales, product management, technical support, and consulting teams
Participate in building and managing long-term customer and partner relationships
Tailor technical responses and contribute to RFP and proposal development
Maintain strong knowledge of IT channel operations and partner ecosystems
Develop and sustain a functional understanding of data center technologies and solutions
Continuously update technical knowledge to stay current with new products and services
Proactively engage in sales cycles and support new business development efforts

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of sales engineering or sales support experience in the IT industry
Data center industry experience preferred
Background in data center electrical, networking, and cooling systems
Understanding of electrical one-line diagrams, Ohm's Law, and three-phase power calculations

Preferred

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Understanding of core and edge data center designs, including: Power and cooling systems, Monitoring and controls, Fire protection and containment
Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase power and IT load calculations
Familiarity with rack-mounted UPS technologies
Understanding of data center cooling and containment strategies
Knowledge of monitoring protocols such as SNMP, Modbus, and BACnet
Familiarity with APIs and software integration concepts
Understanding of KVM technologies, including IP-based and studio production systems
Knowledge of management port usage on servers, switches, and network devices
Familiarity with global electrical power standards and configurations
Self-motivated, resourceful, and customer-focused team player
Strong presentation and communication skills
Ability to qualify sales opportunities and support the sales process
Comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to tailor technical messaging based on audience needs and expertise
Skilled at handling customer objections by identifying business challenges and proposing effective solutions
