Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and automated data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and Python
Perform deep-dive exploratory data analysis using Excel, Power BI, and Python to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to support data modeling, reporting, and analytics
Create and maintain robust workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and integration from multiple systems like SQL Server, COSMOS, Azure SQL, Application insights, Snowflake DB
Automate data refresh processes to ensure timely and accurate data availability for business users
Provide analytical insights and business performance reporting to senior leadership
Build intuitive and effective data visualizations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver scalable solutions
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows and pipelines in production environments
Document data processes, pipeline architecture, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and maintainability

Required

Bachelor's degree in management information systems, Computer Science, Business, or other analytical disciplines or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in application design, development, and delivery in an enterprise environment
3+ years of Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and transformation
3+ years of Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and cloud-based data engineering tools
3+ years of Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize complex queries
3+ years of Experience with Excel, Power BI for data analysis and visualization
Familiarity with data modeling concepts and integrating data from diverse sources

Preferred

5+ years of experience in application design, development, and delivery in an enterprise environment
5+ years of experience developing large-scale data manipulation processes
4+ years of experience utilizing Databricks for Python
5+ years of experience working with relational databases
5+ years of experience implementing large scale enterprise applications
5+ years of experience in analyzing complex, enterprise business problems or processes and translating business requirements into technology solutions that factor in system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability, and total cost of ownership
Experience in implementing enterprise applications using platform services like azure App service, COSMOS, Azure SQL, event hubs, Microservices, Snowflake DB, application insights, etc
Experience with Azure DevOps for managing project tasks, managing code repositories, and creating YAML pipelines for CI/CD builds and deployments
Experience with C# and/or Angular development
Relevant Certifications in Data Engineering
