Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with our intermediary and institutional clients to understand their day-to-day and long-term business goals and objectives
Based on interaction with the client and their feedback, identify and recommend services, processing environments, enhancements and efficiency gains
Lead the establishment of new client relationships or new components of existing clients’ business from contract review and negotiation, through the initial setup on internal and external systems. This includes completing required forms and requests, updating department databases, obtaining approvals and reviewing set-up to ensure the client can begin conducting business effectively
Work with clients to troubleshoot complex situations, apply strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail, and develop sound conclusions and effective solutions
Conduct face to face or virtual meetings with key clients to develop and maintain relationships, understand their business model, goals, and objectives
Make timely updates on client activities, tasks, profiles, and contacts
Review all planned formal communications being distributed to clients
Work closely with Federated Hermes’ Global Account Managers and regional consultants to foster a cohesive client support team
Stay abreast of industry and regulatory changes directly impacting Federated Hermes’ clients and prepare to communicate and discuss changes with clients
Maintain a general understanding of the various trust, sweep, clearing and recordkeeping systems used by our clients, as appropriate
Facilitate and participate in client driven projects
Actively participate in project teams for conversions, mergers, and acquisitions to ensure the client can begin conducting business
Represent the business unit on new product initiatives with product development, providing insight on clients’ receptiveness or operational considerations
Secure, contribute or provide client information in response to compliance/risk management-initiated requests
Document and communicate policies/procedures, including record retention, for all existing processes
Solicit client feedback and utilize reporting tools to monitor and communicate customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities for improvement

Required

High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of two years of experience in the financial industry required or three years business experience to include client servicing and operations

Preferred

Bachelor degree preferred
Basic knowledge of market-related products, funds, operations, and industry experience preferred
