Responsibilities
Processes motor vehicle renewals
Processes disabled persons' applications
Processes motor vehicle transfers
Issues license plates, including specialty plates and dealer plates
Receives and processes property tax payments
Processes refunds
Serves as Passport Agent as needed
Receives and processes special taxes, including VIT, Hotel/Motel tax, and liquor license renewals
Balances the cashbox daily
Performs any other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Must have at least one (1) year of work experience
Must be able to type at least 30 wpm
Must possess a valid and current Texas driver's license
Knowledge of department policies and procedures
Knowledge of cash management principles
Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs
Skill in the provision of customer services
Skill in oral and written communication
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language and orally in the Spanish language
