Responsibilities
Apply developing technical expertise to solve simple problems, and leadership skills to provide oversight of work in relations to power distribution, their specific area of developing expertise, with close supervision
Develop skill in their field of study and can work with some degree of independence
Write work orders and handle numerous work orders simultaneously
Spend approximately one day a week in the field gathering data
Enter data into design systems and manage work assigned to them
Apply technical expertise in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems related to power distribution
Ensure accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities
Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches
Conduct engineering and related studies
Strive to continually improve job related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance
Develop positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
Maintain accurate records and files
Support the company’s goals and represent the company positively and professionally
Qualification
Required
Technical Associates degree, OR 2+ years of relevant power distribution experience
Proficient user of computer applications, particularly MS Office and AutoCAD
Experience in the utility industry
Understanding of project management principles
Self-Motivated, work independently, team-oriented, customer oriented
Able to manage multiple tasks and provide leadership to other team members
Power Distribution: 5 years (Required)
Electrical Utility Design: 5 years (Required)
