Compensation and Benefits Analyst
Hanon Systems is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Analyst responsible for designing, administering, and improving U.S. employee benefits programs and regional compensation frameworks. The role involves managing employee benefits, overseeing compliance, and supporting annual compensation cycles, ensuring alignment with the organization’s talent strategy.
Responsibilities
Administer and manage day-to-day employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and wellness plans
Manage benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and vendor coordination
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and resolve issues effectively
Lead benefits education, onboarding support, and annual open enrollment communication
Lead the annual benefits renewal cycle including broker/vendor engagement, data analysis, cost review, and negotiations
Conduct benchmarking, utilization analysis, and trend comparison across market competitors
Prepare multiple renewal options with cost-impact scenarios and present recommendations to management for final decision
Ensure plans remain cost-effective, competitive, compliant, and aligned with business needs
Oversee 401(k) plan operations including eligibility, participation, loans, distributions, and issue resolution
Coordinate year-end compliance testing, audits, and 5500 filings
Maintain accurate participant data and collaborate with recordkeepers
Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, IRS, DOL, and state regulations
Monitor legal and market changes and support updates to policies and benefit practices
Support annual compensation cycles including merit, salary adjustments, and bonus processes through data validation, reporting, and coordination
Assist with compensation benchmarking, market pricing, and survey participation
Help maintain salary structures, job grades, and internal equity reviews
Provide compensation data to HRBPs and leaders for hiring, promotions, and adjustments
Support job evaluations and creation of new job descriptions or job codes
Assist with HRIS reporting and generating compensation analytics or dashboards
Assist in identifying process improvements and best practices
Help with headcount reporting and basic salary budget analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
5 + years' experience in Compensation & Benefits
Payroll background / ADP Payroll knowledge is welcomed
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data reporting
Good communication and stakeholder-management skills
Ability to work across regions and handle sensitive data responsibly
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Understands and accounts for regional and cultural differences
