1+ years expMJ Recruiters is seeking a Process Engineer to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves supporting continuous improvement projects, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and assisting various engineering departments to enhance efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities
Supporting an assigned area of the plant related to continuous improvements and troubleshooting
Identifying and driving continuous improvement projects based on metrics related to scrap reductions and efficiency improvements, resulting in measurable cost savings
Assisting technical support with equipment issues, with a 'willing to get your hands dirty' mentality
Performing mechanical troubleshooting, including pneumatics, actuators, cameras, vision systems, leak testers, motors, gears, conveyors etc
Performing basic electrical troubleshooting, including sensors, robotics, etc
Supporting other areas of engineering, including industrial engineering, product engineering, launch engineering and quality engineering
Supporting quality engineering with root cause analysis within the assigned area
Updating FMEAs and work instructions as needed
Utilizing 2D and 3D modeling for creating tooling, fixtures and jigs to support production
Completing engineering documentation as needed
Overseeing typically 3-4 engineering projects at a time
Other duties as directed by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, mechanical related majors highly preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in similar process engineering role in manufacturing
Continuous improvement experience (increasing efficiencies, reducing scrap, etc.)
Mechanical troubleshooting skills
2D and/or 3D modeling software
Experience with formal problem solving tools (5WHY, fishbone diagrams, 8D, etc.)
Microsoft Office
Preferred
Automotive supplier work experience
Experience in automated manufacturing environments, including robotics and/or PLCs
Assembly experience
Project management, including overseeing timelines
PLC troubleshooting
