Responsibilities
Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with a high degree of accuracy
Apply current tax regulations to minimize client liabilities and maximize potential savings
Respond to client inquiries and resolve tax-related issues with federal and state agencies
Bring books to the trial balance stage, record monthly transactions, and maintain the general ledger
Manage bank and credit card statements alongside other critical financial accounts
Handle payroll processing, federal/state tax deposits, and annual forms (941, RT-6, 1099, W-2, Sales Tax, etc.)
Prepare periodic financial reports and statements in accordance with GAAP to give clients a clear picture of their health
Provide insights on accounting procedures and business improvements
Regularly interface with clients to gather documentation and provide year-round support
Qualification
Required
3+ years of relevant experience in both tax and bookkeeping
Highly proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
High degree of accuracy in data entry and financial calculation
Fluent in English and can explain complex tax concepts simply
An Associate degree is required
Preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are highly preferred
CPA or EA designation (or being in progress) is a strong advantage
CRM experience is a major plus
