Responsibilities

Participates in the quality assurance process; follows procedures to ensure that all software products and components meet company standards and client requirements

Performs code inspections, walk-throughs, design, and test-readiness reviews

Reviews software and project documentation for completeness and adherence to standards

Works on problem resolutions and reports progress to management

Plans, executes, and summarizes reliability and validation test cases; interfaces with developers on test results

Assists in audits and reviews

Writes and executes test plans and cases for testing of software

Required

Proven experience in data quality engineering

Experience with Big Data technologies

Experience with automated data validation tools such as Great Expectations

Working knowledge of Hadoop

Working knowledge of Spark

Working knowledge of data analytics platforms

Ability to collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users to define data quality checks, metrics and SLAs

Ability to develop, maintain, and execute data quality tests and validation rules

Ability to create QA frameworks that support batch data validation

Ability to troubleshoot data issues, identify root causes, and drive resolution in collaboration with engineering teams

Ability to document test cases and test results to provide visibility into data health and quality trends
