Responsibilities

Direct overall administrative and technical operations of the Finance and Accounting Function of HOCCP
Over sees all data and physician and payer contracting
Payer relations and contract negotiation management
Client decision support and financial distribution management
Coordination of all technology solutions and related databases; liaison to HealthONE information technology
Over sees the daily operations of HOCCP
Serves as a strategic partner to the VP, CMO, and physicians
Chairs the PCAC in conjunction with the CMO
Develop, execute and oversee all phases of Finance including the monthly financial statement close process, accounting and reimbursement analysis, annual budget, statistical gathering and reporting, financial computer systems, cashiering functions, financial audits, and serves as the primary finance and accounting resource to physicians and staff
Oversees the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function, cash flow management, and performs bank reconciliation
Creates the financial statements for RMG, and HOCCP. Reports financial status to their respective Finance Committee and Boards
Payor Contract Negotiation and Financial Analysis of Contracts
Creates and maintains a physician data base and payer contracts
Co-chair of the Primary Care Advisory Committee; responsibilities include incorporation of gainshare opportunities in the development of the HOCCP annual scorecard and physician remuneration modeling
Coordinates distribution of shared savings bonuses and monthly distribution of care management fees to practices
Oversees data management and analysis for all managed care contracts
Oversees the creation and distribution of performance / financial reporting sent to physicians related to value-based contracts
Works in partnership with the Clinical Team Leadership to facilitate reporting requirements to execute Clinical Team strategies
Serves as a strategic partner to the VP, CMO, and physicians

Required

Current or previous Certified Public Accountant preferred
Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance
3 years in healthcare finance
3 years supervisory experience
Effective verbal and written communication in order to communicate in a clear, concise manner with staff, department directors and managers, public, and administration
Demonstrate proficiency with computer systems and spreadsheets
Strong supervisory and coordination/organizational skills
Detail oriented and a strong technical resource
Strong analytical skills to interpret and analyze a wide range of data
Knowledge about managed care and third-party contractual arrangements and the ability to analyze such arrangements, including reimbursement and revenue
