Systems Integration Engineer
Entegee is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer for a contract-to-permanent position based in San Jose, CA. The role involves working on-site to integrate industrial systems, requiring a strong background in PLCs, SCADA systems, and various aspects of industrial automation.
Responsibilities
Work on-site to perform systems integration for industrial systems
Understand and utilize PLCs and SCADA systems
Develop and implement solutions using Rockwell and GE/Emerson PLCs
Utilize inductive automation Ignition software packages
Interpret and understand Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID)
Proficiently use Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Access, Outlook, and Excel
Provide after-hours on-call support services as needed
Qualification
Required
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics or Instrumentation
At Least 6 years of Industrial System Integration Experience
Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems
Experience with Rockwell and GE/Emerson PLCs
Experience with inductive automation Ignition software packages
Understand Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology
Proficient in using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Access, Outlook and Excel
Location: This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Santa Clara/Sunnyvale, CA
Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours – nominally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility based on ability of site to support and employee preference
After hours on-call support services are occasionally requested
Physical Requirements: Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs
Authorized to Work: Applicant must complete background check, drug screen and be fully authorized to work for any client in the United States. The client is unable to sponsor or continue a visa at this time
Preferred
Experience with Cimplicity™ and Rockwell programming packages
Experience in Semi-conductor, industrial or general industrial facilities
Experience in various aspects of industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical power and building automation system design
Pressure, temperature, flow, and level installation, calibration, and maintenance experience
Understand the operations, safety considerations and applications for common analytical instruments including pH, Conductivity
Understand analog, digital, and relay field wiring and troubleshooting
SQL server experience
Experience building industrial control panels
Ability to Specify instrumentation and valves
AutoCAD experience
