Responsibilities
Perform tasks requiring applications of standard civil engineering techniques and procedures
Use design software such as MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD to accurately render and communicate designs
Determine construction costs, local and professional building regulations, environmental impacts, and other factors that can affect project implementation
Identify potential risk factors that can affect project delivery
Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team of other professionals, such as Scientists, Landscape Architects, Engineers, or clients, on roadway transportation and civil projects
Enforce engineering, local, and legal regulations like health and safety protocols on-site
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
3 - 5 years of civil engineering experience related to transportation/roadway design
Experience with design software such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills, and design skills
Preferred
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
Pursuing a Professional Engineering (PE) license
Problem-solving skills to find the right solutions to issues
Working knowledge of design software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
Exposure to site layout, erosion control, utility design, and environmental impact assessment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Planning and organization skills
Developing knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation
