Tax Partner
Navigate Search is seeking a Tax Partner to provide strategic tax leadership to high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses. The role involves delivering sophisticated tax planning and compliance services while owning key client relationships and contributing to the growth of the tax practice.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary tax advisor to high-net-worth individuals, families, and owners of closely held businesses
Lead comprehensive tax planning across individual, trust, estate, and business entities, including partnerships, S corporations, and LLCs
Advise on complex matters such as liquidity events, business exits, succession planning, estate and gift strategies, multi-state residency, and wealth transfer planning
Oversee and review federal, state, and local tax filings for individuals, trusts, estates, and pass-through entities
Partner with business owners on tax-efficient structuring, growth planning, recapitalizations, and ownership transitions
Maintain and grow a book of business through deep client relationships and targeted business development efforts
Collaborate with attorneys, investment advisors, bankers, and internal service teams to deliver integrated solutions
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and development support to managers and senior professionals
Contribute to practice strategy, growth initiatives, and thought leadership within the private client and closely held business space
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA required
12+ years of public accounting or advisory experience serving HNW individuals and closely held businesses
Deep technical expertise in individual, fiduciary, and pass-through entity taxation
Proven ability to manage and grow complex client relationships at the partner level
Strong leadership presence, business development capability, and communication skills
Experience advising owner-managed and entrepreneurial businesses
Preferred
Master's in Taxation preferred
JD, LLM, or CFP a plus
