Responsibilities
Act as a processing subject matter expert in specific areas, in support of the operations, maintenance and automation
Define and develop all aspects of processing equipment used in manufacturing of Chobani products
Provide dairy process guidance and expertise to plant operations, automation and other functions as necessary
Collaborate with operational productivity team on optimization and process improvements within area of responsibility
Support the R&D Innovation team and Quality in the development of processing systems and solutions for customers and consumers, within the area of responsibility
Available to support Ops in day to day troubleshooting as needed
Engineering representative on Product Excellence team lead by R&D
Responsible to track/trend/report out all defined Process Performance Metrics (PPMs) and reporting
Leverage Product Excellence PPM monitoring & trending to identify potential process & equipment improvements
Provide weekend on-call support to the maintenance and operations team to reduce downtime, within areas of responsibility
Work closely with the CAD team to update and modify various drawings, including P&IDs and Process Flow Diagrams
Provide input on critical spare parts and PM frequency and activity
Provide input on design for capital projects concurrently
Other duties as assigned
Occasional travel required to equipment vendors and other Chobani sites
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experience in a dairy process engineering role
Experience in dairy processing equipment
Working knowledge of project life cycle deliverables, contract & schedule
May be required to work in a site environment in the presence of heavy equipment, smoke, dust and noise
Proficient in the use Microsoft Office software, Microsoft Project, SEEQ, CAPE or TOPS, and AutoCAD
Pro-activity, personal drive, decisiveness, commercial / business acumen, communication skills, excellent teamwork skills, organizational competency, and the ability to prioritize
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering preferred, other engineering degrees considered
