Licensing Analyst 1-2 (CPG)

NEOGOV is seeking a Licensing Analyst for the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors, which aims to protect public welfare in the contracting vocation. The role involves ensuring compliance with licensing laws, reviewing applications, and assisting contractors with licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

Interpret and explain licensing laws, rules, and policies to applicants and the public
Review and analyze license applications for accuracy and completeness
Process payments for fees and fines
Conduct investigations and interviews to verify eligibility
Assist contractors in determining license type and examination requirements
Analyze financial statements, bonds, and property documents for compliance
Verify credentials, corporate documents, and insurance coverage
Prepare official records and recommendations for Board/Agency review

Required

Three years of experience in the issuance, maintenance, or reinstatement of licenses; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, and policies
Proficiency with data entry, recordkeeping, and office technology

Preferred

Experience reviewing financial or legal documentation is a plus
