Responsibilities
Handle litigation matters involving life, disability, health, long-term care, and financial services disputes
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests/responses, and subpoenas
Conduct legal research and factual investigations to assess claims and defenses
Take and/or defend depositions
Collaborate with clients, experts, third-party administrators, opposing counsel, and witnesses
Assist with trial and arbitration preparation, including motions in limine, jury instructions, trial briefs, exhibits, and witness preparation
Appear in state and federal court proceedings as appropriate
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active admission to the California State Bar
2–5 years of litigation experience (insurance, ERISA, or first-party insurance experience preferred)
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong work ethic with the ability to manage cases independently
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
