Instrumentation and Process Control Designer

Responsibilities

Prepare construction documents such as loop drawings, location drawings, cable reports, and I/O lists under the guidance of senior staff, using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite to produce accurate and consistent deliverables
Learn and apply Building Information Modeling (BIM) protocols to stay aligned with evolving technology and industry best practices
Contribute to control network design documentation, including functional descriptions and specifications for Quality Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Distributed Control Systems
Support the development of piping and instrumentation diagrams and instrumentation/control valve specifications while strengthening design skills
Travel to client sites to collect field data, document existing conditions, and support new equipment start-up, building practical field experience
Assist in preparing project proposals and estimates, gaining insight into project planning and budgeting
Work with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate project details and develop strong collaboration skills that lead to successful client outcomes
Collaborate with engineers and drafters to contribute to a wide range of industrial projects, from new facilities to small upgrades, while expanding technical knowledge

Required
