Responsibilities
Review and reconcile normalized property-level financial statements prepared by third-party administrators against property-generated financials
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements for joint venture property entities
Review general ledgers, trial balances, journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for GAAP compliance
Review and validate distribution calculations and coordinate approvals with internal stakeholders
Partner with property management teams to reconcile operating accounts and resolve accounting issues
Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and investigate material differences
Maintain complete and well-organized accounting documentation for all assigned assets
Qualification
Required
3–6 years of real estate accounting experience (affordable housing, multifamily, or mixed-income preferred)
Strong understanding of GAAP and property-level financial statements
Experience working with joint venture structures and third-party property managers
Familiarity with real estate accounting systems such as Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms
