Responsibilities
Assessing the borrowers’ needs and repayment ability with the skill to recommend the feasibility of granting a loan request
Builds and maintains productive relationships with existing and potential clients, including but not limited to follow-up phone calls
Works to complete a loan application, run credit, calculate income, and run Automated Underwriting Systems
Gathers documentation from clients for loan approval, docs, and funding
Reviews, updates, and requests information to complete the LOS and URLA
Coordinates with Processor to prepare file for submission
Follows up on funding requirements and on any post-closing required loan documentation
Manages pipeline; keeps track of locks, approvals and close of escrow dates
Stay up to date on loan programs and industry guidelines
Qualification
Required
NMLS license
At least 2 years of recent loan experience
Extensive knowledge of the financial industry
High level of customer service
Outstanding organizational skills
Problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience with originating guidelines and overlays
Familiarity with automated underwriting systems and Encompass
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Bilingual is a plus
