Responsibilities
Assist in the teardown and disassembly of high-horsepower diesel engines
Rotate through engine disassembly, component cleaning, and parts inspection
Operate machines and production equipment according to standard work instructions
Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards
Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard
Comply with all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards, policies, and procedures
Use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Identify and correct hazards within control and capability
Follow all quality procedures including SPC, poka-yoke, and visual standards
Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials
Raise quality and cost exposure issues proactively
Meet required cycle times and production standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including housekeeping and machine cleaning
Perform planned operator care and basic maintenance tasks
Remain flexible and perform additional duties to meet production goals
Work with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to identify equipment repair needs
Communicate effectively with team members and support teams
Participate in training, development, and continuous improvement activities
Contribute to improvements in safety, quality, processes, material flow, and employee development
Qualification
Required
Ability to learn and adapt to new skills
Strong mechanical aptitude and mechanical competency
Previous hands on experience with automotive repairing/servicing or with automotive engines
Attention to detail
Experience working with engines
Knowledge and use of hand tools
Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
Ability to work in a production-oriented manufacturing environment
Effective communication and teamwork skills
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience
