Account Manager
Vanguard Cleaning Systems of Maryland is an independently operated franchise focused on supporting unit franchisees in the commercial cleaning industry. The Account Management Representative will drive customer satisfaction and business growth, overseeing key client relationships and guiding franchise partners to operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic and high-value clients, ensuring strong relationships and long-term satisfaction
Lead client onboarding, site walkthroughs, renewals, and retention activities
Identify opportunities for service expansion, special projects, and upselling to increase account value
Partner with Sales on new and complex proposals to ensure operational feasibility and brand consistency
Monitor and analyze client performance metrics to drive proactive engagement and issue resolution
Provide business consultation, education, and operational support to franchise partners, helping them enhance customer service, efficiency, and profitability
Conduct on-site visits with franchise partners to support account performance, service quality, and client retention
Educate franchisees on advanced cleaning technologies, equipment, and best practices to drive operational excellence
Support franchisee onboarding and development programs to strengthen network growth and alignment with brand standards
Collaborate with internal Account Management and Administrative teams to implement and refine business processes related to account management and franchise partner operations
Use Salesforce CRM and data-driven insights to ensure all customer service activities are captured, tracked, and resolved efficiently
Support team development by fostering accountability, communication, and continuous improvement in service delivery
Participate in meetings to contribute to territory strategy, performance reviews, and margin management
Achieve sales and retention goals through account renewals, pricing adjustments, and coordination of special services and consumables
Maintain and improve gross margins through proactive account management and operational discipline
Generate additional revenue opportunities through referrals, expanded scopes, and reactivation of past customers
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in strategic account management, client success, or service operations
Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience guiding cross-functional teams, franchise partners, and clients
Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms; skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams)
Ability to interpret performance data and KPIs to drive decision-making

Preferred
