Mechanical Engineer II

Responsibilities
Perform engineering analysis under general supervision
Design or modify basic mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, or drawings/specifications under general supervision
Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects; identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve moderately complex technical issues
Perform and document engineering test reports; generate alpha/gamma documentation for product releases
Perform engineering analysis; troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems of moderate difficulty under general supervision
Design, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes as needed
Enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle, as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
2-4 years of related experience
Preferred
Working experience with CAD software
Working experience with thermodynamics
Working experience with sheet metal design
Working experience with material selection
Working experience with manufacturing methods
Working experience with GD&T
Working experience with flow analysis
Working experience with Design for Excellence principles
