Responsibilities
Calculate tax impacts of transactions and perform technical tax research
Manage tax workflow, review returns, and oversee partner and stakeholder expectations
Handle billing, WIP management, and engagement economics
Advise clients on tax planning strategies and compliance requirements across entity types
Oversee end-to-end client engagements, including deadline management and expectation setting
Stay current on tax law changes, regulatory updates, and industry best practices
Build and maintain trusted relationships with closely held and high-net-worth clients
Deliver proactive, accurate, and practical tax guidance
Coordinate multiple engagement teams and manage competing deadlines
Coach, mentor, and develop staff, seniors, and managers
Contribute to training initiatives and leadership development
Foster a growth-oriented, collaborative environment focused on excellence
Encourage innovation, forward thinking, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
CPA or JD strongly preferred
5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting
Strong understanding of corporation and partnership taxation
Practical knowledge of tax credits and incentives
Experience advising clients on partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, and individual taxation
Proven ability to conduct tax research and analyze complex tax issues
Experience managing compliance and investor reporting processes
Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
Excellent internal and external communication skills
Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, and related tools
Strong working knowledge of CCH Axcess required
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
Initiative, adaptability, and willingness to learn new concepts independently
U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder)
